The 2 speed change is situated on the side of the D shaped handle and the percussion action is activated by twisting a metal collar which is situated behind the 13mm keyed chuck.Fitted with a 650 watt motor, drilling capacities of 13mm in steel, 30mm in wood and 19mm in masonry the 8419B might not be every body's cup of tea but the 8419B is a very proficient percussion drill.
